Program Pioneer

The Program Pioneer Award recognises people who played an integral role in the development of YMCA Programs and Services.

To be selected, an individual must be, or have been, a volunteer or staff member of YMCA Victoria.

The person must have demonstrated exceptional and creative leadership, played a pivotal role in the development / evolution of a YMCA Victoria program, and exemplified the ideals of the YMCA in his or her personal and professional life.

The criteria describes the characteristics that are desirable in the recipient:

  • Clear involvement in originating and developing a new or innovative YMCA program/service
  • Impeccable character
  • Well thought of by peers
  • Clearly identified by peers as pivotal in the development of the program/service
