YMCA Victoria is supported by a voluntary Board of Directors who oversee the governance of our social enterprises and benevolent initiatives.
YMCA Victoria Inc. is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors who have carriage for the governance of our subsidiary entities that operate our social enterprises.
In addition, the Y operates another incorporated association, Victorian YMCA Youth and Community Services Inc. which governs the benevolent work we undertake in communities throughout Victoria.
Our constitution allows us to have up to 15 Board Directors with a provision of at least two young people under the age of 31 years who are independent members of the association.
The Board of Directors role in the organisation is documented in the Board Charter. YMCA Victoria Inc and Victorian YMCA Youth and Community Services Inc governance framework is based upon leading governance practice including ASX, AICD and ACNC guidelines and recommendations.
The Board of Directors hold meetings on a bi-monthly basis at the YMCA Victoria Head Office located in the suburb of Box Hill.
During the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus) situation, the Board of Directors have continued meeting remotely via teleconference.

The Board of Directors also operates a number of working groups to support the Y's strategic priorities, deliver on our mission and achieve our vision.
