Community Father of the Year

Celebrating the important role of dads and father figures

Every year children in the community are invited to nominate their dad or father figure by writing or drawing about why they are so special to them. Winners are selected at each participating YMCA centre or service.

YMCA Community Father of the Year recognises dads and father figures who may think they’re ordinary, but are in fact extraordinary. Read more about how it all began.

The nominations for the YMCA Community Father of the Year are also considered for the Father’s Day Council of Victoria’s prestigious Victorian Father of the Year Award. A number of Community Fathers have been past winners.

Below is a list of participating centres in this year’s campaign, head into a centre to nominate a dad or father figure before August 2.
