Following the success of last year’s partnership, The YMCA Father’s Day Fun Run (FDFR) and Mother’s Day Classic (MDC) are teaming up again to get more families active in 2018.

YMCA Victoria Corporate Partnerships Manager, Sue Hendy, was ecstatic the relationship was continuing.

“Last year’s events were a great success and the partnership really enabled both organisations to reach new audiences and further promote active, healthy lifestyles”

“Both events have strong elements of fun, fitness and community involvement so it really just makes sense to work together”

The Mother’s Day Classic will take place on Sunday 13 May at the Tan track in Melbourne's CBD, with plenty more events across regional Victoria. The YMCA has a significant presence in these local communities, and through our managed facilities, programs and services hope to bring even more families to these regional events.

Mother’s Day will also be the official launch of the 2018 YMCA Father’s Day Fun Run, with online registrations going live. There will also be stalls and family activities run by the YMCA in the Melbourne MDC event village – including skateboarding opportunities at the YMCA-managed Riverslide Skatepark.

To register for this year’s MDC, visit http://www.mothersdayclassic.com.au/register/. Early bird prices close 18 April so be sure to save on your entry and sign up today.
