Moreland more active more often with the Y

YMCA Victoria is thrilled to have been awarded the contract to Manage Moreland City Councils Aquatic and Leisure Centres.

The new contract means the Y will continue its decade-long partnership with Council in managing Brunswick Baths, Coburg Leisure Centre, Fawkner Leisure Centre, Oak Park Sports and Aquatic Centre, Coburg Olympic Swimming Pool and Pascoe Vale Outdoor Pool.

Mayor of Moreland Cr Mark Riley said the thorough tender process enabled the best outcome for the community.

 

The health and wellbeing of our residents is at the heart of everything we do. Our aquatic and leisure centres contribute to the physical and mental wellbeing of our community, while also providing spaces to build friendships and connections. YMCA Victoria CEO Carolyn Morris thanked Moreland City Council for creating opportunities for residents of Melbourne’s inner north to be more active, more often.

 

The Y is deeply committed to Moreland’s diverse community, to support locals from all ages and stages of life to be more active more often. We have worked with generations in families, from our preschool learn to swim classes to our active senior programs. Carolyn Morris, CEO of YMCA Victoria


As part of the contract, the Y will incorporate a Social Impact Measurement framework to ensure that participants are able to regularly provide feedback on their experiences and needs.
