Minister for the Arts and Employment and Workplace Relations, Tony Burke, along with Federal Member, Dr Daniel Mulino, recently visited YMCA ReBuild in Braybrook. Their visit highlighted the importance of social enterprises in creating jobs and promoting change for young people who have been in contact with the criminal justice system.
Damien Carmody leads the ReBuild team, and the visit acknowledged their efforts in turning lives around by providing employment pathways and a positive environment.
Creating more job opportunities for young people isn’t just about filling positions, it’s about building futures. At YMCA ReBuild, we’re committed to not only providing these opportunities but also ensuring they are meaningful and sustainable Damien, ReBuild team leader
Thanks to White Box Enterprises for their continued support of the social enterprise movement and our onsite neighbour Green Collect for their commitment to the circular economy and green jobs.
The visit emphasised the vital role social enterprise plays in working with diverse people to achieve real jobs and long-term change.
