Since launching in October, Walking Football 4 Health has grown into a popular, inclusive program bringing connection and confidence to more locals each week at the Hub at Docklands.
“I have never been to any sports activity or had the chance to play. Now I have a chance, I think I am effectively playing Walking Football. Playing walking football is very good. I feel very young, very energetic and active,” says Abinaya. “Special thanks to our coach Mike and The Hub Docklands for organising this initiative for women.”
By aligning sessions with our junior program, we invited mums to join in and they did, creating a fun and welcoming community of CALD women.
“It’s a really good way to keep me active and improving my football skills again after childhood,” adds Divya.
