Y Victoria runs seven different camps across Victoria for schools, community groups and families. Our locations include Anglesea, Falls Creek, Glenmore, Mount Eliza, Mount Evelyn and Myrniong.

We have a range of casual, part-time and full-time roles across our camps. Roles include Lead Cooks, Kitchen Assistants, Program Officers and Program Assistants and Camp cleaners.

Camp cook jobs

Looking for camp cook jobs or hospitality jobs? We’re recruiting for Kitchen Assistants and Lead Cooks to ensure campers receive delicious meals during their stay.

In these catering roles, you’ll prepare and provide food for campers (including those with special diets) and apply best practise as outlined in our food safety program.

Lead Cook

Lead Cooks undertake general cooking duties, including baking and pastry cooking, while ensuring that Kitchen Assistants are supported and guided through their day-to-day duties.

Lead Cooks must have strong interpersonal and leadership skills, be committed to excellent customer service, and hold a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.

Kitchen Assistant

Kitchen Assistants must be motivated individuals with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to apply initiative and work unsupervised if required.

Kitchen Assistants must have a DoFoodSafely certificate, which is a free course you can complete online. Previous catering or hospitality experience and knowledge of kitchen operations will be highly regarded.

Program Officer

As Program Officer, you will deliver programs and activities to visiting schools and community groups, and liaise with teachers and group leaders to ensure learning outcomes are achieved in an engaging and safe manner.

You will be tasked with ensuring that all camp programs are delivered effectively and safely. Additionally, you will assist in preparing, implementing, and evaluating a variety of programs tailored to different groups.

Program Officers will also be responsible for maintaining program equipment.

Program Officers require CPR and First Aid qualifications.

Program Assistant

We are seeking energetic and enthusiastic individuals who love the outdoors to join the team at our discovery camps!

As part of the program team, the Program Assistant role involves direct delivery of programming to school and community groups, ensuring learning outcomes are achieved and that risk management procedures are adhered to.

The position predominantly involves facilitating the camp programs to the various client groups liaising with school teachers/group leaders when required (as the “Key Leader”), risk management and equipment maintenance and other general camp duties.

No qualifications required.

Camp Cleaner jobs

Our Camp Cleaners ensure the campsite and facilities are cleaned to an exceptionally high standard. You’ll work within the camp’s cleaning schedule to regularly clean all areas of the campsite. This may include accommodation, ablution blocks, toilets and other facilities.

While undertaking cleaning duties, you’ll use specialised equipment and chemicals and be responsible for receiving, storing and distributing cleaning goods.

Camp Cleaners also record any maintenance requirements and report major issues to management, as well as undertake repair work and other general duties (such as gardening) as required.

No qualifications needed.
