Are you or someone you know ready to take a leap into the world of governance and become a youth advisor to a board?
The Y Victoria is seeking passionate change-makers and upcoming leaders to become youth advisors to support a board that is part of an international movement to create lasting social impact.
The Board strongly believes that age diversity is integral in the decision-making process of youth strategy and engagement, through contemporary knowledge of the generation they represent.
This volunteer position has the potential to kick start careers, broaden networks and provide international exposure to key decision makers and leaders.
It will help develop invaluable professional skills and expertise in governance practices through sharing lived experience and using their voice to help create solutions in youth affairs.

Young people from Victoria aged 18 – 25 years. Current YMCA staff members are not eligible.Nominate someone

What is required?
Term: One year, with option to stand for re-election.
Commitment:
- Attendance at quarterly meetings held online in flexible hours (2 hours duration)
- Commitment to reviewing and researching all relevant papers prior to meetings
- Option to attend and participate in various Y events at your discretion.
